19th Century Romantic Era Sewing Box Set in Embossed Paper from Au Bon Marché

Antique sewing box or chest. Superb model with compartments, illustrated with glued embossed paper. The colors are very fresh. The central illustration is marked Au Bon Marché. The underside of the central compartment is adorned with a courtesy mirror. Unfortunately, the exterior is damaged, with a striped tartan fabric that has some missing areas (see photos). The piggy bank at the bottom needs restoration (the bottom has been pierced with a hole). Dimensions: 22.5 x 35 cms.
