Indochinese tray in openwork wood and mother-of-pearl marquetry from the late 19th century. This tray is decorated with a central medallion featuring Asian figures on a bridge in a landscape of trees and rocks made of mother-of-pearl marquetry. Four round medallions with plant motifs surround the central medallion, accompanied by four floral decorations, all also made of mother-of-pearl.
The rest of the tray also has mother-of-pearl inlays around the edges. It is a finely crafted piece. General good condition, with some losses to the mother-of-pearl marquetry and a lengthwise crack in the tray, but it does not affect its sturdiness (see photos). Length: 49 cm (19 1/4"). Width: 36.5 cm (14 1/2").Check out my other items like this one.. All our items come from France. Expect to find signs of normal use and proportional wear, especially for antiques.
