Rare Revollier sickle, hand-forged iron, 19th/1900s, antique harvesting scythe with wheel

  
AUTHENTIC AND RARE, or even VERY RARE, large hand-forged reaping sickle for sheaves, with a flywheel, from the last decade of the 19th century or around 1900. I knew the owner: a family ancestor... A renowned cutler from the 19th/20th century. Revolier was originally from Saint-Étienne and settled in 1865 in Renage (Isère); the cutlery factory remained in operation until after World War II. This factory is now called Revex... In very good condition, with age-related wear. Beech handle in used, age-appropriate condition. I respond quickly to any questions or other inquiries.
