Superb Large Mortar & Pestle in Turned Wood, Herbalist, Apothecary. 19th Century

  

Ancient oak mortar and boxwood pestle from the 19th century. Both are turned wood, made from a single piece.

They have some cracks but remain sturdy and functional! Likely from a herbalist or apothecary, truly antique with a beautiful patina, a very nice and rare piece in this size! Pestle is 25 cm long.
