Very rare antique lucky charm with 4 cornicello and 1 red coral figa, Sicily, 19th century

  

A very rare set of Mediterranean coral lucky charms from Southern Italy. "Mano figa" and "cornicello" are the names of these typically Italian good-luck charms. The tradition still continues, but these five pieces are old and curiously mounted together from the beginning. The metal links are usually low-karat gold, 9 or 12 karat, but because of the light weight and the delicacy of the piece, I did not want to test them.

This is the first time I have come across this type of "charm" outside the literature devoted to them. Dimensions: total height 6 cm, weight 3.6 g.
