Beaded Rifle Scabbard of the Native Peoples of North America

  

Rifle scabbard (Kentucky style) in beaded hide from the First Nations of the Americas. Sewn onto a thick smoked-tanned hide (elk), decorated with red and navy blue wool fabric and linear beaded motifs.

A few gold-thread tassels trim the edges on one side of the scabbard. A very fine collector’s piece.
