Pair of 19th-Century Candlesticks, Winged Dragon, Griffin, Hippogriff, Napoleon III

  

Very beautiful pair of candlesticks/candle holders. Rare figures: winged dragons, griffins, and hippogriffs. A fairly well-preserved and rather rare complete set; the rare ones sold are often 20th-century reproductions. Height approximately 18 cm, triangular base: 10 x 10 x 10 cm. Height of the fantastic animals: approximately 5 cm for the animal body.

It would benefit from a little more cleaning (traces of wax and oxidation), but they are in good condition. The two candlesticks can be unscrewed at three points. It is possible to remove the two drip pans easily or to reuse the two fantastic animals and mount them on other bases.
