Rare Box Of Messenger Wood Iron Leather Manuscripted Lock High Time Late Xvth
Rare, old and authentic messenger box. Rectangular shape with bomb lid. Exterior covered with embossed leather and diamond patterned on the lid. Box set of 5 iron bands.
Lock (present but without key) to hasp on small side. Box having retained its 4 lateral attachments. Inside gain of red leather (partly missing). On the remaining part of the leather covering the underside of the lid, handwritten inscriptions dating remain to be deciphered (written, a priori, in Latin). End of xvth / beginning xvth.
