2 Glass-Framed Fixed Tableaux Japan XIXth Century Scenes of Life, Geishas by the Lake

  
Set of 2 paintings matching with the Fixés under glass process Japan XIXth century, with mother-of-pearl reflections, cut-outs, painting on paper and fixed under glass. 1st - Life scene representing "2 Geishas at the edge of a Lake and Mountainous Region". Semi-fixed under glass process with a painted paper leaf decoration and a part painted under glass. Damage to the paper leaf partially torn on the left side. Antique frame with small damages.

The back is also made of wooden panel from the same period. 2nd - Animated life scene with many "Geishas on an island bordered by a lake". Small mountainous hill with 2 sharp peaks and a mountain in the distance.

On the left, several sailboats in the background and in the foreground, a boat carrying a family. Old glass blown with visible bubbles. Frame posterior to the work but antique. Dimensions: 40 x 60 cm + frame. 3 kg each piece, total 6 kg. Medium condition for the 1st, very good for the second.
