Peschard 8-10 Quai de la Mégisserie Paris - Gardening tools - Household items, late 19th century. This watering can is in its original condition, in a state "as found in an attic." It comes from a beautiful property of an old family from Brittany.
It will need to be cleaned. Note: some dents, indentations, and bumps on the body, traces of repairs (welds) in places, signs of wear over time. Please carefully examine the photos. We are listing a second similar watering can for sale on this site. It was the Quai de la Mégisserie or Quai de la Ferraille in the 18th century; previously Quai de la Saunerie.
It may have also been known as Quai de la Ferronnerie. Merchants of old scrap metal displayed their goods along the quay without occupying the buildings.
