A superb netsuke originating from Japan, a unique model made of a noble, hard and resistant wood, with a visible signature on the base. A work worthy of sculptures on 'noble material', dating before the "1947 period" and most likely much more recent. An object of probably quite recent manufacture (mid-20th century) that perpetuates the Art of meticulous sculpture and engraving of Japanese masters. A beautiful subject for collectors of Asian Arts.
