Fine, Elegant Indian Silver Belt (2) Gulf Production (late 19th)

  

Elegant silver belt or Indian silver alloy, in the style of gulf jewelry. Consisting of 18 elements of a double plate; fine xixeme. These were mounted to be portable on a 1cm wide contemporary leather belt. Collected in Mombasa (Kenya) in 2005 from a local antique store. About 100 gr (including weight of leather) length 70 cm, width about 1 cm.
