Rare and superb auricular / Baroque-style fireplace bellows, carved walnut, 19th century. Dating from the early 19th century, this fireplace bellows is made of walnut, leather, and metal. Both sides are carved with an auricular-style face, framed by monsters, foliage, and wings. The handle is decorated on one side with a fabulous creature and on the other with a swaddled infant.

Some signs of wear from use (missing strap and repaired leather tip at the junction between the tube and the wood). As antiques dealers, we provide the highest bidder with an invoice for each of their purchases.
