Rare crucifix in gilded wood with gold leaf. Era: mid-19th century / Louis-Philippe. The crucifix is made of wood gilded with gold leaf; it is surrounded by an ornament in gilded chased metal. Superb original gold leaf gilding with beautiful burnishing at the base. The Christ figure is in biscuit; it is in excellent condition.
