Santons Figures Wood Late 18th Century. Signed Carbonel Popular Art Folk Art

I propose this amazing pair of small carved wooden figurines, signed carbonl, of the same name as the family of Marseille santoniers. I date them from the end of the xviiith century, when the manufacture of santons and figurines was still carried out in various materials including wood and was an extra activity. The sculpture is naive but rather clever. Curiously, one of the two figures is monoxyl, the other contains a small 2 cm cache in the trunk because the head is removable.
