Superb crucifix with mixed gilding (gold and silver) Napoleon III period

  

Late 19th century / Napoleon III period. The crucifix features a silver and gold mixed gilding with gold leaf.

It is surrounded by a gilded and chiseled metal ornament. It has its INRI plaque. The Christ figure is in biscuit. Superb original gold leaf gilding with beautiful polish. Magnificent gilded and elaborate base.

The crucifix is in remarkable condition. There are some very slight gilding losses on the base and the cross. I also note the presence of a small, non-serious crack on the base. Base dimensions: 15 x 7.5 cm.
