Brass And Iron Basin Circa 1700

  

Beautiful and rare brass basin with religious motifs (ihs, crosses above, courtyard below, tower with chalice motifs). The forged iron handle held with 2 large red copper rivets, brass handle tip.

This basin comes from a former presbytery of the Charleroi region in Belgium. Accidented, superb patina, cabossed rear, very nice decorative object. First third of the 19th century. Dimensions length 108 cm width 32 cm.
