Carved Oak Bas-Relief of Renaissance Style with Scrollwork and Heads

  

Carved oak bas-relief of a Renaissance-style motif depicting a crowned fleuron surrounded by scrolls ending in grotesque heads. Hand-carved in the 1800s, this French Oak wood panel is in the Renaissance style. At the end of the scrolls, there are six remarkably detailed "grotesque" heads. The wood has developed a beautiful patina that highlights all the sculptures. Our wonderful 19th-century oak bas-relief panel can be displayed on the wall of any room in the house.

Width: 31.5 cm (12 1/2"). Thickness: 2.5 cm (1"). Please note that signs of normal use and proportional wear are to be expected, especially for antiques. All items are shipped by priority parcel with insurance.

When you receive your package, if you find that it is open, damaged, or broken, always open it in front of the delivery person and ask them to sign a statement if the contents are damaged.
