Indian Sindoor Dani box in brass. Sindoor boxes were used to store spices and precious powders. Sindoor means vermilion in Hindi, and Dani means compartment. The lid is decorated with parrots and peacocks. Today, it can be used to store small precious items or serve as a decorative curiosity.
