Springerle cookie mold, carved pearwood, Switzerland, first half of the 19th century. This 19th-century folk art piece is a cookie mold of the type used for springerle, anise biscuits, or speculoos. It features nine recessed figures, including musicians, peasants, a soldier, and people out walking.

Carved using the intaglio technique, they wear clothing typical of the first half of the 19th century. Made from a single piece of wood, this small board was used to press designs into cookie dough before baking, particularly for holidays or markets.

28.3 x 14.2 x 1.8 cm. As antique dealers, we provide the winning bidder with an invoice for each purchase. Shipping after receipt of payment.
